Midland Hotel | Seahorse No.10 Gin Packaging
To celebrate their 10th anniversary at The Midland, English Lakes Hotels asked us to create packaging for their bespoke Gin. Featuring 10 botanicals in its unique make-up, Seahorse No.10 has been crafted with the same care and attention as that lavished on the building itself. The name stems from the many seahorses to be found around the hotel, from the two Eric Gill carved on to the exterior (see image below) to the beautiful mosaic Marion Dorn created for the entrance hall and which was the basis for our label icon.

The Midland hotel is a celebrated example of art deco architecture and we took our styling cues from this genre, cutting the luxurious uncoated label to a classic deco form. The finish combines the lavishness of the hotel and its bespoke gin, with a minimalist sensibility, utilising a single sea green foiling througout the front, back and stopper label designs.
